The Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering is targeted at food handlers working in the catering industry in any type of food business.

At this level this course is suited to those with involvement with the preparation, handling & serving of food of which the aim of this qualification is to provide a sound knowledge and understanding of good food hygiene practices.

The course will cover

The importance of good food hygiene, associated food hazards, the impact of poor food hygiene standards and controls based upon an awareness of food safety management systems. Holders will know how to maintain good practice in the handling, processing and preparation of safe food.

The course will conclude with a 30 question multiple choice test paper.
